The DUBLIN TCX118B is a 4,000 Watt 18" dual ported bandpass enclosure that is optimally tuned for extended low frequency response. Engineered to work in conjunction with Turbosound loudspeaker management systems, the TCX118B provides very high output FOH performance and is ideally suited for a wide range of music and live sound reinforcement applications.

Bandpass Enclosure DesignBandpass enclosures are extremely efficient, creating maximum bass output within a specific frequency range by increasing the acoustic load presented to the driver. The low distortion bandpass design utilised in the TCX118B reinforces the bass musical instrument frequencies, and steep cut-off slopes ensure an effective acoustic transition for use with DUBLIN Series full-range loudspeakers. A typical application could consist of a TCX118B providing the low-frequency bass extension for one, or two DUBLIN Series top cabinets.
Constructed from 15 mm (5⁄8") birch plywood, the cabinet is available in hard wearing semi matt black or optional white textured paint, and includes internal M10 threaded rigging points that allow it to be suspended in permanent installations using M10 eyebolts. A pole mount socket is provided to allow two way cabinets to be mounted at the correct height above the subwoofer. The rear connector panel provides two industry-standard twist-lock speaker connectors for input and link functions, wired in parallel with a 4-way barrier strip connector.
Rock-Solid PerformancePrimarily designed for permanent installations such as houses of worship, banquet facilities, night clubs – and a host of other venues, the 4,000-Watt DUBLIN TCX118B puts touring-grade sound quality into a scalable loudspeaker system. In portable applications the subwoofer can be used with speaker stands or poles, carrying handles are provided for ease of installation and transportation.

Performance specifications of a typical production unit shall meet or exceed the following: frequency response, measured with swept sine wave input, shall be flat within ±3 dB from 35 Hz to 125 Hz and within -10 dB from 25 Hz to 170 Hz. Nominal dispersion, shall be Half Space. Nominal impedance shall be 8 Ohms. Power handling shall be 1000 Watts continuous, 4000 Watts peak. Sensitivity, measured on axis, mean averaged over stated bandwidth, shall be 97 dB, 1 Watt @ 1 metre. Maximum SPL (peak), measured at 1 metre with music program at stated amplifier input, shall be 133 dB. Dimensions: 660 mm high x 560 mm wide x 660 mm deep (26.0" x 22.0" x 26.0"). Net weight: 38.6 kg (85.0 lbs). The loudspeaker system shall be the TURBOSOUND TCX118B.
