About this product

2 Way 8" Full Range Loudspeaker for Portable PA Applications

The NuQ82 is a passive two-way 8-inch point-source loudspeaker from Turbosound's NuQ Series, engineered for portable PA, fill and small-room reinforcement where compact dimensions and high intelligibility are paramount. The 8-inch ferrite low-frequency driver features a 1.75-inch high-temperature aluminium voice coil and a vented pole-piece for sustained thermal stability, and is paired with a 1-inch exit compression driver loaded onto a 90-by-60-degree rotatable constant-directivity waveguide. The internal passive crossover network is voiced for transparent vocal reproduction and low-distortion mid-band articulation. Power handling is 400 W continuous and 1,600 W peak at 8 ohms, with a maximum peak SPL of 127 dB at 1 m. Frequency response is 70 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB). Construction is 12 mm Baltic birch with a polyurethane scuff finish and a powder-coated steel grille backed by acoustic foam. Integrated mounting hardware includes four M8 fly points, a 35 mm top-hat for pole mounting and a 35 mm sub-pole socket on the base for inverted use as a stage monitor. Two parallel NL4 Speakon connectors accept and pass through input signal. The cabinet is also pole-compatible with the IP-series subwoofers as a satellite top. Designed and engineered in the U.K.
