About this product

Dual 2 Way 8" Line Array Element for Portable and Fixed Installation Applications

The TLX84 is an ultra-compact, three-way line-array element from Turbosound's Liverpool Series, engineered for short- to medium-throw applications where the rigging weight and visual footprint of larger arrays cannot be accommodated. The cabinet houses two 8-inch low-frequency drivers in a symmetrical front-loaded arrangement, four 4-inch midrange cones in a tight vertical column and a single 1.4-inch exit compression driver loaded onto a Polyhorn waveguide producing a nominal 90-degree horizontal and 10-degree vertical dispersion per box. Crossover points are passive at the LF and active between MF and HF, allowing the cabinet to be driven from a three-channel amplifier rack with Turbosound preset libraries for tuning. Frequency response is 65 Hz to 18 kHz, with a maximum SPL exceeding 134 dB peak per element when arrayed. Construction is 15 mm Baltic birch with a polyurethane scuff finish and a black powder-coated perforated steel grille. The integrated three-point rigging frame uses captive aluminium pins to inter-cabinet at angles of 0, 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7.5 degrees, supporting flown clusters of up to twelve TLX84 elements with a 10:1 safety factor. Two M12 pickup points on the top frame accept the dedicated flybar. Typical deployments include corporate AV, conferencing, smaller theatres and as down-fill below the larger TLX215L sub-arrays. Designed and engineered in the U.K.
