Turbosound FLEX ARRAY Draws Crowds at Rock Werchter 40th Birthday Blitz

For the third year in a row, Turbosound’S FLEX ARRAY has been the weapon of choice for Rock Werchter’s Jupiler ‘House of The Bull’ Stage. Held annually, 150,000 festival goers from all corners of the world descend in the quiet village of Werchter, Belgium for four whole days to see and hear some of music’s greatest acts. Celebrating its 40th year this year, Rock Werchter hosted a party like no other with rock, pop and dance acts spread across 3 stages; the Main Stage, the Barn Stage and Klub C, with the unofficial 4th stage and Turbosound’s favourite, the Jupiler ‘House of The Bull’ Stage.

Responsible for blasting out club music at the Jupiler Stage was the largest Turbosound Rental Company in the Benelux, Splendit who have been taking care of music festivals all summer long with Werchter an annual date in the diary.

“For nine years we have taken care of the Jupiler Stage, and for nine years in a row we have deployed Turbosound! The popularity of Jupiler has soared so three years ago we upgraded from our original and legendary point source FLOODLIGHT system, to the modern FLEX ARRAY which has delivered exceptional improvements,” comments Marijn Broeckaert of Splendit.

Broeckaert continues, “The Turbosound FLEX ARRAY has a 75 degrees dispersion with a sound quality and power that is unmatched for a box with such a small footprint. It is able to deliver clear, directed sound which we have received nothing but compliments for.”

The Jupiler Stage, which attracts up to 15,000 fans per performance, consisted this year of two hangs of 6 TFA600H and 4 TFA600HW cabinets, with 12 TSW218 subs left and right of the stage. Additionally 2 TQ445DP were used for both infills and outfills. For sidefills on the terrace there were 3 TFA6000HW per side.
